After our flag raising ceremony this morning the Greenock children quietly and thoughtfully strolled to the side of the building and entered through doors that would lead them past the many stars decorated with names of friends or relatives who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces.
One of the children asked, "Is that our American Legion at the door?"
"Sweetie did you say American Legion?"
"Well, American leader, is that our American leader holding the door. Right there," she pointed.
I looked....there holding the door for the children was Dr. Keruskin. If you have never met Dr. K he is pretty tall, especially if you are under 4 feet like most of our munchkins!
"Oh honey, that is Dr. Keruskin our assistant superintendent!"
"Ohhhhhhhhhh. So not American leader?"
